Pro-funds auction for the Museum - Torruella was selected as one of the artists to donate works to the institution. The sale of his sculpture "Corazón Desarmado" made a necessary contribution for this activity.

Sculpture for the Sculpture Garden - Torruella’s piece was chosen as a part of the permanent exhibit of this recently inaugurated Garden.

Luis Torruella’s work formed part of this Latin American fair this past March in Coconut Grove, Miami. His two large scale sculptures were praised by the audience present there.

San Juan, Puerto Rico inaugurates its first international art fair with hundreds of international exhibitors this past May. In this event, Torruella exhibits two sculptures that form part of this fair.

His last project will be displayed on the other side of the world, in the city of Hong Kong. It consists of eight screen sculptures to be installed in Hotel Harbourview Suites.

In line with his active role in this Museum, which includes lecturing, inclusion of his work in the Sculpture Garden, and hosting an interactive program of computers in Galería Activarte, Torruella also donates his work each year to the Pro-funds Auction for the Museum. This year, a large scale wall sculpture named “Otoño” has been chosen. It is currently in the process of fabrication.
